I believe we create our own luck, whether it’s good or bad. Consciously, or unconsciously, we may have ourselves at some time or another, produced our current conditions, either in our bodily health or other circumstances.

I remember one of the first things I learned about money was don’t count on it. Did you ever notice just when you thought you would actually not only meet all your bills but have a little left over to actually indulge yourself in something good, something happens that removes it before we’ve ever even seen it? The car will break down, the plumbing will leak and the list goes on.

Let me begin with a bold assertion. We were not put on this planet to suffer. We were not born to make mistakes. Life is in our hands and “the choices we make dictate the life that we lead—to thine own self be trueâ€. It is our ignorance of life that is at the basis of our mistakes and suffering. From this we conclude that something fundamental must be missing in the field of education.

People have always perceived money, wealth, abundance or prosperity to be scarce. By default, we have come to accept that and live like that in our everyday reality. We have been raised with our parents arguing about money or the lack of resources, we had to scrimp because there is little money, and we have heard a great deal about what the “want” of money can lead people to do.

I have read once that the best prayer is a prayer of thanksgiving. I wholeheartedly agree. Our normal form of prayer is a prayer of petition or asking something. Christians are familiar with the line “Ask and you shall receive” therefore it never wrong to ask. However, if we keep on asking for the same thing over and over again, it only means to us that we are not receiving what we are asking or otherwise we will not be asking for it anymore.

The Merriam Webster dictionary defined the the word DESIRE as a “strong wish” or a “longing”. When you desire something or someone it involves great emotion of longing, of wanting to own it or have it. The mindset you are projecting is that the thing or person is NOT with you at that very moment, that is why you have a strong craving or need to have it.
