“Coincidence” and the Power of Intention

What if I told you there was no such thing as coincidence? Would you argue with me? I believe in the power of raised awareness, of positive intention, of thoughts becoming actions. What is our role in each of this? How can we manifest serendipitous coincidence in all the positive areas of our lives?

There are no coincidences in life. Only moments of raised awareness.

Think about it. You have a conversation with a friend about how a song reminds you of someone and suddenly, that song is played everywhere. You take a liking to a new model of car that just came out. Now you see it everywhere. You’ve raised your awareness about a particular object and your attention is focused on it. Therefore you notice it appears all the time. Think about how many things pass you by each day, what would happen if you shifted your attention onto them?

Kind of makes you wonder what the power of attention can do. If our life’s “coincidences” happened in the areas of abundance, love and prosperity, would we all be happier? Where are you focusing your attention?

Inner Balance = Outer Awareness.

It’s an easy equation. When you’re at peace within yourself, you notice more and have the capacity to absorb more outside of yourself. Take a close look at the fibers that weave all those chance happenings together. Think about your role in them. Had you verbalized or focused mentally on certain intentions? The Universe is not conspiring for or against you without your permission. Your thoughts and your emotions are driving your chance moments. Your job is to pay attention.

Your life reflects much of what is going around you and the balance you’ve created. Sometimes our signals are far more innocuous than others. Are you able to see them? When we are calm and happy with our place in life (which admittedly is not 100 percent of the time), we notice these little signals much more easily. When was the last time you experienced a coincidence? Now, how would you rate your life balance?

Reading between the lines.

By becoming in tune with life’s little signals, it’s actually fairly easy to determine if you’re headed in the right direction or into a dead-end. I’ll give you an example. Twice now I have taken interest in different condos in my area. And twice now the day before I was supposed to make an offer or go see them, something happened so they were taken off the market. Reading between the lines, my intuition tells me that isn’t not the right time – or those weren’t the right places. Pay attention to how you feel when coincidences occur. Do you have a knot in the pit of your stomach, or do you feel peaceful acceptance?

Each time you experience one of life’s coincidences, think back to how you manifested it. Did you recently have a conversation about it, an emotion or a strong thought? Probably so. You can choose to move forward, with said coincidence carrying you on a wave of positive energy, or you can choose to back off based on the emotional charge the coincidence provides. In the end though, your increased awareness is what brought it to your attention, so it’s up to you what you do with it.

Aha! Moments

Coincidence, serendipity, fate…all of these words imply an act of mischievous connection. Happenstance. While I secretly love to indulge in such ideas, I’m actually far more passionate about the moments in life when my clients confidently announce what they truly want to occur. Then, in our next session announce with amazement, “you’ll never guess what happened!” Of course, I heard the passion and depth with which they proclaimed what they wanted so I just grin and ask, ”what happened? Fill me in…”

When you can verbally commit to what you want in life, you demand action from yourself and from the Universe. I call these – Passionate Proclamations!

Step 1: Become crystal clear about what you want.

Step 2: Proclaim said want with unabated passion!

Step 3: Do your part to make it happen.

Step 4: Watch for the Universe’s response in coincidences.

“Be careful what you wish for” is a common phrase. What we think about most – occurs. So let’s play a little mind game here because thoughts can be tricky. Where is your focus right now? Let’s say that you are worried about losing your job. You continue to think and verbalize that you are worried about losing your job. This seems like a positive thing, right? Who wants to lose their job? In reality though, what you are focusing on most is actually losing your job! If instead, you focus on what you want in an ideal job, “coincidence” would have it that life delivers it to you – in the form of a new job or your current job.

We so often forget that when you keep your thoughts away from what you don’t want and instead keep your emotions and intentions in the areas that you do want: you create powerful change within your own life. You create your reality. Have fun with the crazy coincidences and go ahead and laugh a little to yourself at the irony behind your thoughts becoming tangible answers. You’ve worked hard for it!

The Law of Attraction - More Than Goal Setting and Affirmations Alone

Did you know that every thought that we think creates a vibration? Negative thoughts create negative feelings that lead to low frequency vibrations, whereas positive thoughts create positive feelings that produce high frequency vibrations. According to the universal Law of Attraction, “vibes” attract like “vibes”. Have you ever noticed how, when you’re feeling down and depressed, you attract situations that are in line with your state of mind? So logically, the key to attracting only the things that you desire into your life, is to vibrate positive energy. Okay, that sounds simple enough…but how do you DO that?

We spend far too much time worrying — about the future, about paying the bills, about upcoming exams, about our health, about getting that promotion. What we’re actually doing when we worry about any situation, is concentrating all our energy on something that we don’t want. Hate, worry, fear, jealousy, anger, sadness are all emotions that make us vibrate negatively. By focusing on unwanted situations we are actually attracting the exact situations that we want to avoid! We would be doing ourselves a favor by focusing only what we DO want, instead of wasting time and energy on the things that we DON’T want.

Opposites Do Not Attract

Obviously, no one can feel good all day long, every day. The key is to do the things that make you feel good as often as you can. Play uplifting music while you drive to work, avoid the television programs that produce negative feelings, don’t read the newspaper if the content affects you negatively, interact only with positive-minded people… just let go and have fun! Learn to monitor your thoughts…if you notice yourself thinking a negative thought, immediately negate its effect by focusing on something that makes you feel good. Remember, there is nothing more important than feeling good! Keep a photo of your kids or pet or favorite actor nearby to help you make that switch. Be grateful for the things that are going well in your life. Do whatever it takes to generate that upbeat feeling, because opposites do not attract…but like certainly will attract like. The Law of Attraction is on the mark each time and it does not make mistakes!

In order to get what you desire in life, you have to give those desires regular attention. Fantasize, dream, imagine, focus… for what you create in your mind, you create in reality. If it’s a specific car that you want, order a brochure of it and look through it every day. Think about what color you want and which accessories and options your model has. If it’s a fantasy vacation in the Maldives or the Caribbean, compile your own colorful screensaver, fantasize about those white beaches and crystal clear waters abundant with tropical fish. Paste pictures of your dream home or that sleek yacht that you desire on a board and look at it often. Be excited about it! Focus wholeheartedly and with certainty on what you want, and do so in this moment. Believe that you have what you desire now, today, in this present moment. Focus on how good that makes you feel, and try to generate that feeling as often as you can.

Don’t confuse the Law of Attraction by being inconsistent in your desires. Don’t keep changing your mind, otherwise there’s no way for what you ask for to find its way to you. Be consistent, be determined…but leave the “how” out of it. If you decide the method and schedule by which your desires will come to you, you’re limiting your possibilities to only what you can think of. After all, what if there’s something better out there than what you can imagine? Just trust that it is happening now and allow it to come to you. Follow where your intuition leads you. Don’t worry about it, don’t look for proof, don’t start doubting.

Affirmations are a form of advertising

If you do find that doubts and negative self-talk are getting in your way, you can apply positive affirmations. When used consistently, affirmations will do away with your limiting beliefs and replace them with thoughts that will help you achieve what you desire. Does advertising work? Sure it does - there’s a multibillion dollar industry that proves it and affirmations are a form of advertising with only you as the target audience. Affirmations must be stated in the “I” form, in the present tense and always positively. They should also invoke a positive emotion. For instance: “I deserve large sums of money that allow me to have more fun with my family”, “I choose to effortlessly earn $100,000 per year”, “I enjoy working out regularly and maintaining a trim and slim body that turns heads”, “I choose to attract only healthy and positive people into my life who help me achieve my goals”; “I choose to create a positive, healthy and joyful lifestyle for myself”. You can write them down everyday, or use them as a screensaver, or buy special affirmation or goal setting software that you can use on your computer.

If you’re skeptical about how the Law of Attraction can affect you, just try being happy and positive for a month. It will amaze you how easy it is to get things going your way in that short period of time. A lot can be achieved in relatively little time — why waste any of it by being negative? Get out there and manifest what you want!

Five Practical Tips on Applying the Law of Attraction

Recently eyes around the world have been opened to the Law of Attraction, commonly known as the Secret. The Law of Attraction states that anyone can have anything they desire by manifesting it through good emotions, thoughts, and feelings. Being able to have anything one desires is akin to like winning the proverbial jackpot, but when many attempt to apply the theories of the Law of Attraction, they tend to hit a wall. It sounds much easier than it actually is.

There are a myriad of methods currently being taught and it can become a bit overwhelming to say the least. Is there an easy way to attract what you desire? Certainly, and to get you started on your personal journey to the Law of Attraction, here are five practical tips to you can personally apply.

BE AWARE OF WHAT YOU ARE FEELING

The Universe doesn’t distinguish between right or wrong, or good or evil. The Universe starts moving toward bringing back to you what you outwardly vibrate. If you are feeling worry, the Universe will put more worry into motion, bringing you situations and people that resonate to the exact vibration that you previously sent. Worrying brings worry back to you; grateful brings more things to be grateful for. It’s as simple as that.

STAY CLEAR AND FOCUSED

Maintaining an image of what you desire and keeping that image clear through repeated focusing does wonders. If you give the Universe a half-drawn picture of what you want, the Universe will fill in the blanks, and it may not be what you intended. If you stay clear and focused, however, the people and situations you truly desire will start moving in your direction. Others will appear in your life that will, perhaps unconsciously, help you. Your vibrations are causing this to happen through being focused and by not swaying.

FOCUS ON THE OUTCOME, NOT THE ‘HOW’

Dwell on your end result. What it is that you want? Don’t worry about how it will get there; let the Universe take care of the in-betweens. This is the Universe at its best. It will give you what you want, but you must allow it to. Now is not the time for micro management. You will see the opportunities as they clearly open up to you. The Universe will give you exactly what you want or something better, always.

ENVISION IT NOW

See yourself in your vision NOW, not in the future or the Universe will comply, keeping your vision in the future. See it now. Feel it now. Hear it now. Sense it now. And be grateful; as if you already have it.

ASK FOR SIGNS, AND LOOK FOR THEM

Look for the signs that the Universe is hearing you, confirming that you are headed in the right direction. Signs are encouragement from the Universe. For example: You desire a new car and you see it and feel it clearly in your mind. Then one day you happen to be walking along and see the car that is the exact color and the make that you have been visualizing; that is a sign that the Universe is saying, “I’m working on it.” BE AWARE of the signs. Most people ignore signs, even when they are huge. And recognize the more subtle signs. Be on alert; they will be there.

These are just a few tips to encourage and move you closer to your heart’s desires, clearly attainable through the Law of Attraction. There is an unlimited supply for all, but if you see limits, you will receive limits. There are enough soul mates, excellent health, dream jobs, and money for everyone. There is an unlimited supply of everything, and you deserve all of it.
