Book Review: Creative Visualization

Published by Joann under Book Review

At the height of my struggle through emotional pain, I collected a number of books that have become my favorites through the years. One of them is Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain. The very reason I like this book is because it is very straightforward. The delivery of the concepts and instructions were written in simple words. However, the simplicity does not fail to convey the meaning of the words, rather it enforces its meaning on the me such that I retained and remembered them easily and helped me to practice creative visualization effectively.

I bought a paperback edition in 2001. The very first time I read it, I wasn’t able to put the book down. I read the whole night! In less than a year, it has become dog-eared because of constant use. I reread it on bed every night before going to sleep and I have lent it to my friends who also made it a companion and were reluctant to part with it, so they bought themselves a copy.

The available edition now is the 25th aniversary edition. Yes the book has been around for many years already and it is still a best-seller until now. For me, it is a permanent fixture in my bedside table along with the Creative Visualization guided meditation audio cd (which I bought in 2005), Magnetizing Your Heart’s Desires and other favorites. I still have the dog-eared copy of Creative Visualization because its condition signifies that the wonderful knowledge contained in that little book has been used and shared to help change lives for the better.

Book Review: Magnetizing Your Heart’s Desire

Published by Joann under Book Review, Manifesting

I bought this book back in 2002 and from then on it has become one of my favorites. This is the only book I never forget to bring whenever I travel. No matter how loaded my baggage gets, I always see to it that I can squeeze this some place. It is not because the ideas contained in the book are revolutionary. In fact, the content of this book is not new, it has been around for centuries and many literatures have already been written about it. And there is no doubt that it works! Definitely!

What struck me about this book is the manner it was written. Sharon Warren’s Magnetizing Your Heart’s Desire is written in such a way that you can never put it down once you start reading it. It is has simple words and yet it readily gives what it means to impart. It will not bore you with never-ending paragraphs that just seems to be going around the bush. It offers plenty of stories that gives emphasis on a particular issue.

Most of all the the author’s joy and enthusiasm upon writing this book is reflected in every part of this book. It is so vibrant and full of life. It is as if the words are flowing with so much energy that it will never fail to affect your own mood.

When you are vibrating on purpose

as a Deliberate Creator, it is so exciting, exhilarating,

fulfilling and lifechanging to come to understand…
