Pay attention to the negative, critical messages that stop you from taking steps in a new direction. 4. Find joy in the journey. Short-circuit the “I’ll be happy when…” syndrome by choosing to consciously dwell in positive thought and feeling. Make a choice to spend more time noticing what is right with your life and what is right with you rather than feeding the cycle of negativity by magnifying what seems to be wrong or missing from your life. Positive feelings such as gratitude, appreciation, love, and compassion for yourself and others will energize you and propel you toward a brighter future.

5. Imagine you are already where you want to be. Spend time playing in your imagination. Not only is it okay to daydream, it’s a vital step in redesigning your life. Allow yourself to vividly imagine the life that would bring you the greatest joy and satisfaction. Then write about what you envision in clear, concise, emphatic, and energizing words. An empowering vision for your future will lift you out of the doldrums and into action!

6. Create an inspiring life plan. Support your vision with a detailed plan for your new life. What needs to change in order for you to experience a rich and robust quality of life? Look at each aspect of your life that is important to you and make a conscious decision to fill in those missing pieces. Declare your intentions in writing, and then make a commitment to take action to carry out your plan.

7. Navigate the bumps in the road. Allow for imperfections! If things do not go as planned, or if something comes out of left field to knock you off track, let it be. Tend to the crisis or detour, but hold onto your vision. The path between where you are and where you want to be may not unfold in a straight line. Look for the gift in the situation and get back on track as soon as you can. Persistence and patience are important keys to transforming your life.

Creating A Gratitude Journal

4.19.02 Today I am grateful for _______________ .

As I write the above line, I wonder, “What is my answer?” My first thought is, “I am grateful for today.” Then I realize there are so many people, places and things for which I am grateful. Everyday the list grows.

Everyday there are things that happen to us, and for us, that make us grateful. Sometimes, we even find, that after the passage of time, we become grateful. Take time today, tomorrow, and the next to think about for what or whom you are grateful. Then, write it down in your journal. Or maybe send a letter or a card, with dates and experiences to that person.

You can start keeping a journal where you date and write in daily, weekly, or monthly about what you are grateful for, why and the circumstances that created the gratitude. This becomes a story and record of your feelings and warm experiences of what you have given, and also what you have received.

You can also create individual gratitude journals for your spouse, your children, parents, a friend, etc., that you journal in for a period of time. You can write about them sharing what you are grateful for about them. Get a new journal to use for this purpose only. Pick a colored pen or several colors. You can express your feelings with certain colors, green for a growth memory, blue for peaceful times, you decide what each color means and note that in the front of the journal. Date each entry and describe events, memories, or thoughts that you have about that person. Describe what they have given you, what you have observed, what you wish for them. Tell them about how grateful you are for them in your life, and why. This becomes a treasured keepsake and a priceless gift.

Telling someone you are grateful for them in your life, for what they have done, for who they are is a very powerful expression of caring and love. Telling a stranger who has given you something, directions, good service, a smile, that you are grateful for what they have done and given you is another form of connection. Spread the idea of gratitude. You may see something on TV or read about someone. Send them an email or letter of appreciation for who they are, what they stand for, or for what they have done.

As I was thinking about what I am grateful for, I of course thought of my many wonderful, dear friends. So, I decided to email and ask what they were grateful for. I asked them if I could also share their responses with you, and here they are.

“Today I am thankful for a generous heart that loves to spill over to others…and is constantly replenished by my beautiful family.”

Manifestation Technique To Help You Get Better Results With the Law of Attraction

There are many wonderful techniques out there that assist the manifestation process. If you are experiencing blocks or achieving few results with the law of attraction, then the following information can serve to greatly enhance your manifesting process.

One of the primary reasons why many people are unable to achieve desired results in their manifesting efforts is because they have too many attachments. These attachments can be to specific outcomes, places, people, situations, material objects, etc. Attachments almost always come with high expectations, which generally leads to some level of disappointment.

Many wonderful teachers and experts believe that when using the Law of Attraction, a person must be extremely specific in their desired manifestations. I agree with this statement, but only to a point. The one big thing that is missing in such an approach is ‘expansion.’ Having an expanded vision or expanded vocabulary when consciously manifesting will immensely open a person up to receiving more than they can imagine from the Universe. If a person is so fixed on having their manifestation be exactly how they want it to be, and are not open to having it any other way, then they will be waiting a very long time. However, when a person is specific with their vision, yet is open to experiencing that vision or something greater, then they open themselves to the infinite good the Universe has to offer.

Affirmative statement:

I choose to attract $1,000,000 into my life within the next three years. This money allows me to keep doing what I love by allowing me to positively transform the lives of millions of people with my work. I am open to this or something greater.

Getting back to attachments, it IS possible to live your life without being attached. ‘But I have to be attached to my work, family, etc…’ many people may say. Well, this is where I would suggest a person move out of attachment and into a space of connection.

When a person is attached, they have a sense that whatever it is that they are attached to defines who they are, and thus, they cannot live without it. This results in great disappointment, unbalanced emotions, low self-esteem, and ultimately major blocks to desired manifestations.

When a person is connected, they are present with the world around them. They operate from a sense of “knowing” that they are already whole and complete without needing anything external to make them feel this way. When a person manifests from this space, they do so without any expectations, just knowing that it would be great to experience them. These are the people that usually receive their desired manifestations with ease and grace, because it is just that ‘easy & graceful’.

So, the biggest key ingredient to manifesting? Let go of all attachments and focus on expansion.
