Manifesting with the Law of Attraction

One of the mistakes that most people commit when applying the law of attraction to manifest what they want is to keep checking if it has produced any result yet. They affirm, they visualize and then expect a result over night. If they don’t see the result, they’d get frustrated. The feeling of frustration itself produces a vibration that indeed your desire is still NOT in the material plane. Remember what the law of attraction says, “You attract into your reality that which matches your thoughts.” So the more you keep checking & then getting frustrated, the more the result will elude you.

Using the law of attraction is kind of like planting a seed. You plant a seed (you send out your intention or what you want), & you water it (you imagine, you affirm). The following day, you dig the seed out to see if it has grown. On seeing that no change has occurred yet, you get frustrated and put it back in the soil again. The following day, you dig it out again to see if there’s any change. If you do that over & over again, no plant will grow out of the seed.

Personally, I find that my desires get manifested if I forget about them. Oh yes, I daydream & I let my imagination go wild about having them already, but after that I take my mind off them and they just materialize in my reality.

Practicing self talk means giving purpose to your positive reinforcement, motivation and recognition. This is the same talk you would give a friend so be kind and give it to yourself. Congratulate yourself when you have a success and remember all your abilities, accomplishments, strengths and skills. I suggest you make yourself an accomplishment board or journal and record all your successes — both small and large. Review your progress periodically and acknowledge where you have gone and keep an eye on where you are still going.

Use your self talk as a tool for success. Make it work for you. What you repeatedly say to yourself has a profound impact on your self worth and performance as well as eventual successes. Remember that your subconscious records all your thoughts and triggers physiological responses to match the images and thoughts you have of yourself. Make this work for you by keeping your self talk positive and reinforcing it with positive affirmations. For example, I did a great job on the research project my boss asked me to do. The research gave him the valuable information he needed to make an informed decision. I enjoyed doing this research and look forward to being asked again. My work is done in a professional manner and informative and complete.

As well as keeping your thoughts positive, it is imperative that you stop the negative chatter. Your mind records the negative chatter as easily as it does the positive talk. Your subconscious believes your negative chatter when it is repeated in your mind over and over. If you catch yourself using negative chatter, stop and rephrase what you said in a positive manner. Eliminate the negative words. Focus on using positive terms and affirmations.

Make your positive self talk and communications an everyday habit. A habit is created if you do something 21 days in a row. It is truly a very short time to focus and create a habit of ensuring positive self image. Try making small changes in your vocabulary. Substitute the phrase “I will try” with “I will”, or “I should do” with “I will do”. Try saying “I want or desire to” or “I choose to” instead of “I must”. “I can” instead of “I can’t”. Just the shift in some of our common terminology makes a huge difference in our subconscious and self image. Watch what you say during the day and see how many words that you say have a negative connotation to them. Learn how you can rephrase those statements as you acknowledge them.

Focus your positive thoughts with affirmation statements. These are the reminders that will help you achieve your goals and success. They are the positive mental sticky notes that will motive your mind to work for you instead of against you.

Here are a few tips on how to use the powerful affirmation tools as mental reminders. * Use personal statements. Use “I” or your own name. * Keep your statement short, sweet and to the point. * Phrase your statements in a positive way. Remember the mind accepts the truth as it is worded. Use only positive words — leave out the negatives. I.e. I will not be late for work today vs. I will be on time for work today. * Use a positive emotion in your statement. This excites me or I feel wonderful. Positive emotion strengthens the affirmation. * Phrase affirmation statements as facts instead of a wish. Complete your statement as if the goal has already been attained. Your mind believes mental messages and works to make them a reality even if they are not right now. * State your affirmations at least 6-8 times during the day. Start by waking up with a positive thought, in the shower, brushing your teeth, driving to work, taking a lunch break, before going into a meeting, cooking dinner, getting ready for bed. There are literally hundreds of opportunities throughout the day when you can think of a quick affirmative thought. It is very important to start and end your daily with positive affirmations. It sets the tone for the day and closes the day with a positive thought. Repetition is the key to habit. Repetition enhances self confidence and stimulates your mind to help achieve your goals.

I cannot emphasize enough the power self talk and positive affirmation statements can have upon the quality of your life. They propel you towards your goals that you have identified and desire to accomplish. Even if you work hard every day, without goals, your life is without direction. It is like a ship without a rudder sailing aimlessly through the seas.

Vibrations… Without them, there would be no material universe. Science has proven that beneath all forms, degrees and obvious differences in matter and energy, there is the exhibition of elementary energy in the form of vibrations.

Everything in the universe, from the sounds we hear, the colors we see and the temperatures we feel, are the results of varying degrees of vibrations.

William Atkinson, in his ground breaking report, Practical Mental Influence, states:

“Physical science itself teaches that not only is Vibration the basic force underlying other forces and the various forms of matter, but also that the apparent differences between the various forms of matter, and also between the various forms of energy, are caused simply and solely by the varying degrees of Vibration manifested”

Simply put, anything and everything in the physical universe is the result of varying degrees of vibration. It’s important to understand this concept and to paint a clearer picture we can focus on our senses, and that which we can physically see, hear, feel, and therefore, understand.

In school, we all learned that the tones we hear, from the lowest note to the highest are merely different because of their rate of vibration. Also in the colors we see and the temperatures we feel from the absolute coldest science can measure to the hottest temperatures imaginable, all are the results of how fast or how slow their vibrations are.

As Atkinson clearly summarizes:

“All material and physical “Things” are simply manifestations of some “infinite and eternal energy from which all things proceed,” their differences resulting from the different degree of Vibration being manifested in them.”

Imagine for a moment, the vibrations we humans cannot detect with our limited senses and the effects these undetectable vibrations have on our universe. From x-rays, to microwaves, to waves science is yet unable to measure, we are living in a world of vibration forever shaping our daily existence.

So what of the Vibrations of thought, or more to the point, thought waves? While science can record eletrical activity of our brain, they cannot, as of yet, record the subtle vibrations of thought, but undoubtably, they do exist.

As Professor Williams, the well-known scientific writer, has said: “There is no gradation between the most rapid undulations or trembling that produces our sensations of sound, and the slowest of those which give rise to our sensations of gentlest warmth. There is a huge gap between them, wide enough to include another world of motion, all lying between our world of sound and our world of heat and light; and there is no good reason whatever for supposing that matter is encapable of such intermediate activity, or that such activity may not give rise to intermediate sensations, provided that there are organs for taking up and sensitizing their movements.”

With this in mind it’s clear to see that in the theory of Vibrations, Mental Influence can certainly find room and be rationaly explained by current scientific facts without leaving the realm of physical science and into that of the metaphysical. There is certainly scientific proof that Mental Influence does exist.

How does this theory help us achieve riches?

Quite simple really once we understand that every thought or feeling generated in our mind or brain translates into what is known as mental energy and flows out freely from our bodies in the form of thought waves, spreading from the immediate area of the thinker to a distance equal and proportionate to the overall strength of the thought or feeling.

According to Atkinson, and many other respected scientist, it’s believed that these thought waves have the property of awakening similar vibrations in the minds of other persons coming within their field of force, thus qualifying as Mental Influence.

We certainly have the necessary tools to manifest whatever we desire to come into our lives. Negative thinkers and their subsequent negative lives are clear and undeniable evidence of this theory. With that in mind, it’s time we learn to harness this incredible power and direct it’s force towards achieving positive results in our lives.
