Transforming Fear Into Faith

Published by Other Authors under E-motions

FEAR is: False Evidence Appearing Real. In others words, most fear we experience is self manufactured – yep, we make it up! Think about it, most things you fear are things you imagine will or may happen to you in the future. This is your perception, but has little to do with the reality of the present moment. Your imagination is excellent at painting a very colorful, energy-catching picture of the fearful outcome you perceive. So vivid is this portrait that the fear appears real in your mind. Much of what you fear is based on something that happened in the past, to you or someone else, and you project the same fearful event happening to you in the future. Fear shows up in your life as worry, anxiety, restlessness, stress and tension.

Living in fear is like living your life in a dark, comfortable cave fearing the light outside. When you get too close to the edge, you project your fears into the light to keep you safe within the cave. The cave becomes your small circle of comfort, known as your “personal comfort zone.” You know your existence to be what happens within this zone. As you move through your days, you do so with comfort and ease because you find trust and security in your cave. This “comfort zone” does not include all the things we fear. We leave those out of the equation, although the memories linger in our minds. Sometimes life extends an invitation to experience something new; to step outside your comfort zone. Or, maybe life in the cave becomes so boring you open the trunk of memories and try on a few to generate a little fear and wake you up a bit. Here is silly question: “Why do you do this?!” Because of fear! Even though it’s uncomfortable, it is still within in your “comfort zone,” because fear is all you’ve known.

Teddy Roosevelt said,”The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” How can you begin to experience what life outside the cave is like? How can you stop your fear in order to step outside the comfort zone for a broader, richer life experience? How can you move from the darkness of the cave into the light of Truth? The answer is faith.

FAITH means: Find An Infinite Truth Here. When you have faith, you are basing your life on Universal Principles or Infinite Truths, not on the illusions of your perceptions. What are the higher principles in which you believe? What is it above all else you know to be True? You may believe you are always connected to a Higher Power, or to God. You may believe an “inner wisdom” will direct you. You may believe all your prayers are heard and answered by this higher power. You may believe you are always being looked after and cared for. You may believe LOVE is greater than all your fears. Transforming your fears into faith is the key to living an abundantly rich, full and satisfying life. Faith means living your life with purpose.

Transforming your fear into faith requires you to:

Stop: When you begin to feel fear
Acknowledge: Your fear is making you feel alone, isolated and separated from love.
Remember Fear is: False Evidence Appearing Real
Tap into your faith: Find an infinite truth here.
Remember what you KNOW to be True

Allow your life’s Infinite Truths transform your fear into faith.
Step outside the comfort zone of your cave and walk into the light of Truth.

“Coincidence” and the Power of Intention

What if I told you there was no such thing as coincidence? Would you argue with me? I believe in the power of raised awareness, of positive intention, of thoughts becoming actions. What is our role in each of this? How can we manifest serendipitous coincidence in all the positive areas of our lives?

There are no coincidences in life. Only moments of raised awareness.

Think about it. You have a conversation with a friend about how a song reminds you of someone and suddenly, that song is played everywhere. You take a liking to a new model of car that just came out. Now you see it everywhere. You’ve raised your awareness about a particular object and your attention is focused on it. Therefore you notice it appears all the time. Think about how many things pass you by each day, what would happen if you shifted your attention onto them?

Kind of makes you wonder what the power of attention can do. If our life’s “coincidences” happened in the areas of abundance, love and prosperity, would we all be happier? Where are you focusing your attention?

Inner Balance = Outer Awareness.

It’s an easy equation. When you’re at peace within yourself, you notice more and have the capacity to absorb more outside of yourself. Take a close look at the fibers that weave all those chance happenings together. Think about your role in them. Had you verbalized or focused mentally on certain intentions? The Universe is not conspiring for or against you without your permission. Your thoughts and your emotions are driving your chance moments. Your job is to pay attention.

Your life reflects much of what is going around you and the balance you’ve created. Sometimes our signals are far more innocuous than others. Are you able to see them? When we are calm and happy with our place in life (which admittedly is not 100 percent of the time), we notice these little signals much more easily. When was the last time you experienced a coincidence? Now, how would you rate your life balance?

Reading between the lines.

By becoming in tune with life’s little signals, it’s actually fairly easy to determine if you’re headed in the right direction or into a dead-end. I’ll give you an example. Twice now I have taken interest in different condos in my area. And twice now the day before I was supposed to make an offer or go see them, something happened so they were taken off the market. Reading between the lines, my intuition tells me that isn’t not the right time – or those weren’t the right places. Pay attention to how you feel when coincidences occur. Do you have a knot in the pit of your stomach, or do you feel peaceful acceptance?

Each time you experience one of life’s coincidences, think back to how you manifested it. Did you recently have a conversation about it, an emotion or a strong thought? Probably so. You can choose to move forward, with said coincidence carrying you on a wave of positive energy, or you can choose to back off based on the emotional charge the coincidence provides. In the end though, your increased awareness is what brought it to your attention, so it’s up to you what you do with it.

Aha! Moments

Coincidence, serendipity, fate…all of these words imply an act of mischievous connection. Happenstance. While I secretly love to indulge in such ideas, I’m actually far more passionate about the moments in life when my clients confidently announce what they truly want to occur. Then, in our next session announce with amazement, “you’ll never guess what happened!” Of course, I heard the passion and depth with which they proclaimed what they wanted so I just grin and ask, ”what happened? Fill me in…”

When you can verbally commit to what you want in life, you demand action from yourself and from the Universe. I call these – Passionate Proclamations!

Step 1: Become crystal clear about what you want.

Step 2: Proclaim said want with unabated passion!

Step 3: Do your part to make it happen.

Step 4: Watch for the Universe’s response in coincidences.

“Be careful what you wish for” is a common phrase. What we think about most – occurs. So let’s play a little mind game here because thoughts can be tricky. Where is your focus right now? Let’s say that you are worried about losing your job. You continue to think and verbalize that you are worried about losing your job. This seems like a positive thing, right? Who wants to lose their job? In reality though, what you are focusing on most is actually losing your job! If instead, you focus on what you want in an ideal job, “coincidence” would have it that life delivers it to you – in the form of a new job or your current job.

We so often forget that when you keep your thoughts away from what you don’t want and instead keep your emotions and intentions in the areas that you do want: you create powerful change within your own life. You create your reality. Have fun with the crazy coincidences and go ahead and laugh a little to yourself at the irony behind your thoughts becoming tangible answers. You’ve worked hard for it!

How To Think Positively When The Unexpected Happens

Published by Other Authors under Positive Thinking

It is a fact of life, that you will experience events in your life that were unplanned or unwanted. How you react to these events, speaks volumes about the type of person you are.

You experience an unexpected incident, you think about it, you act, and then follow further events resulting from your action. The factor governing our action is actually our thinking, and not the occurrence of the incident.

That is quite a concept to grasp. An example will probably help you to internalize this concept.

Perhaps you are camping in the woods and discover that a wild bear is running toward a young child in a neighboring campsite. Several people witness the situation.

A person with a vivid imagination, pictures to himself all of the horrors that may happen and is paralyzed by fear. Another thinks only of herself and her peril, and runs away to get out of danger.

Yet another instantly faints from fear. His fainting arises from his mental anxiety and he only adds to the confusion of the situation.

A woman was so absorbed in setting up her tent that she did not see the wild bear, so she would not have been disturbed by it, nor would have taken any related action.

Another, seeing exactly the same situation of the pending bear attack that others are experiencing, is triggered by an entirely different line of thinking. He remembers that very loud noises distract bears from their course of action. Thus, he bangs on pot lids and yells at the top of his lungs, causing the bear to take its focus off the child. With this reaction, another adult is able to snatch the child and run away to safety.

In the example described, we have an external incident of the bear attack, the thinking of each person and his or her subsequent bodily action. Each action in the illustration was connected with the same incident, yet the resulting actions were from the person’s thinking, and not the actual incident of the bear attack.

What’s the relevance between our bear attack illustration and positive thinking? Well, the example proves that it isn’t the incident you are experiencing that causes your actions; it is the thinking about the incidents that causes it.

So, when you are faced with a negative situation in your life, like the loss of your job, your resulting actions will depend on how you think about your circumstances.

If you think that losing your job means that you are worthless and unemployable, then your relating actions are going to be negative. You might sit on the couch for days watching mindless soap operas. Your actions are having a negative impact on your life and are moving you in a backward direction.

What if you choose to be positive? What would happen then? What if you focused on the positives from losing your job? If you think about the opportunity to explore a new career that has always intrigued you, then your resulting actions will be completely different. You may investigate furthering your education. You might take a trip to your local employment center to learn more about your desired field. Your actions are having a positive impact on your life and are moving you in a forward direction.

These examples illustrate that in every instance, it is not the external incident, but your own thinking that directs…controls…and decides what your course of action will be. Therefore, it is obvious then that thinking about situations and experiences positively will cause you to take a positive course of action.

Think that you can start applying this concept in your own life?

Why not start today! The next time you are faced with an adverse experience, consciously choose to think in a positive fashion. You might be surprised at how differently you will act as a result.

It can be tough to apply positive thinking everyday.

Keep in mind Norman Vincent Peale’s famous quote from the book the Power of Positive Thinking” states “Motivation is like nutrition. It must be taken daily and in healthy doses to keep it going”.
